

Papa, come home soon...Sparkling droplets of rain glimmered on the windowsill of her tiny bedroom. Eyes the color of a winter moon gazed around in the darkness. She saw the various pieces of furniture cloaked in shadows. Across the room, her roommate lay sleeping peacefully. Tonight was like every other night. A tear slipped down her small face as she slid silently from her bed. She padded across the room to the door, and eased her robe from its hook.
